Learn More about Dr. Jill Giacoppa Biden
Dr. Jill Biden is the first Italian American to become First Lady of the United States. An educator, author, mother, and grandmother, she is also the first spouse of a president to maintain her own career outside the White House.
As First Lady she supports military families, advocates for educational opportunities, and works to seek an end to cancer while serving as a messenger of the President’s priorities.
A partner and supporter of her husband and family for 44 plus years of marriage, she is the great-granddaughter of Italian immigrants. Jill Biden embraces and continues in her own family the Italian American experiences that helped to shape her values and that inspired her to become a teacher and an advocate for her community.
