Our Mission
As the voice of Italian Americans in the Democratic Party, we strive to ensure that our community’s values and priorities are heard in Washington, D.C., in the Democratic Party, and beyond. Our political action committee supports Italian American candidates for Congress and major statewide offices, engages in outreach to Italian American voters on behalf of Democratic presidential campaigns, and promotes the appointment of qualified Italian Americans to federal political positions.

Our new brand
In 1993, at the request of the Democratic National Committee, Italian American leaders of the Clinton-Gore campaign founded the Italian American Democratic Leadership Council.
Since then, the organization has evolved into a major force in support of the election of Italian Americans in the Democratic party – and it was time for our brand identity to evolve as well.
We are very proud of our heritage, yet we also recognize the need to look toward the future. So we simplified our name to the easier-to-remember “Italian American Democrats,” and updated our logo to reflect the growth and stature of our organization.
